The Institute offers training and related interventions to improve public sector performance. Mainly, therefore, the institute covers the civil service, local authorities, Parastatals and state owned enterprises. Training and relates services are also extended to non-governmental organisations and communities in general. It opened its doors in 1976 to offer short courses to Government Departments, Private Sector Organisations and other Development Partners. The courses aim to create and sustain a culture of excellence in service delivery. Esikhoveni Institute is located 47 kilometers south of the City of Bulawayo. It lies on the roadside of the Gwanda Beitbridge Highway.<\/p>\n<h4>Vision<\/h4>\n<p>To be a world-class leader in the provision of high quality training services to Government Departments, Development Partners and Private Sector Organisations.<\/p>\n<h4>Mission<\/h4>\n<p>Esikhoveni Institute is committed to the provision of high quality client-focused training and development to achieve excellent in service delivery.<\/p>\n<h4>Objectives<\/h4>\n<p>The Institute strives to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carryout Training Needs Assessment (TNAs) to identify specific competencies that need to be developed.<\/li>\n<li>Research and develop customer-driven courses to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and evaluate courses for members of the Public service<\/li>\n<li>Provide training consultancy.<\/li>\n<li>Provide training facilities, accommodation and catering services to public and private organisations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Training Personnel<\/h4>\n<p>Training Personnel at Elangeni are highly qualified. They are University graduates with further professional training in various human resource development disciplines. As an Institute, we boast of a track record of unsurpassed service delivery.<\/p>\n<h4>Methodology<\/h4>\n<p>Much of the training is job related. Trainers employ participatory methods in all training activities. Further, training is also competence based &amp; results oriented.<\/p>\n<h4>Target Population<\/h4>\n<p>The target population comprise of government employees, development agents and the general public in need of our courses and services.
