{"id":4118,"date":"2025-09-04T09:06:58","date_gmt":"2025-09-04T09:06:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test30.gov.zw\/?page_id=4118"},"modified":"2025-09-05T08:14:24","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T08:14:24","slug":"retirement-planning-and-industrial-relations","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.psc.gov.zw\/?page_id=4118","title":{"rendered":"Retirement Planning and Industrial Relations"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Functions<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides factual information to prospective retirees needed to make a pleasant transition from world of work into retirement.<\/li>\n<li>Disseminates information on the retirement process including general information about social security and medical care coverage.<\/li>\n<li>Engages financial planners to assist in development of training modules that deal with financial planning, investments and estate planning.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct presentations before employees and beneficiaries regarding the retirement systems rules, retirement benefit plans, policies, procedures, legal requirements, statutes, regulations and benefits.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitates the acquisition of life skills to prospective retirees needed for optional adjustment to retirement goals.<\/li>\n<li>Research and recommend appropriate benefits plans and services based on data analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Conducts research in areas identified for policy reviews.<\/li>\n<li>Administers retirement plans in accordance with PSC guidelines and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains knowledge of legal and regulatory changes, trends, and other developments affecting retirement benefits.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitates engagement with private sectors and key stakeholders for collaborations with Government on retirement planning.<\/li>\n<li>Develops and implements retirement products.<\/li>\n<li>Monitors and evaluate retirement planning programmes.<\/li>\n<li>Promotes Industrial harmony by conducting consultative workshops with workers&#8217; representatives quarterly to discuss the conditions of service of members of the public service and other issues of mutual interest.<\/li>\n<li>Responds to workers&#8217; concerns.<\/li>\n<li>Promotes Occupational Safety and Health issues within the public service to ensure a safe working environment.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitates the Work of Joint Committees on matters related to employee conditions of service.<\/li>\n<li>Advises the Management on current labor trends, legal developments, and industrial relations matters.<\/li>\n<li>Acts as a bridge between the Government and workers to foster a stable, cooperative, and productive work environment.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate the capacity-building programs for members of the National Joint Negotiating Council.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in workers\u2019 events, such as May Day, to listen to their grievances and provide recommendations to the principals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Functions Provides factual information to prospective retirees needed to make a pleasant transition from world of work into retirement.
