Functions

• To administer the correct payment of pensions and compensation to eligible beneficiaries as a way of providing social security.
• To formulate and review policies relating to all Government Pension Schemes as well as Pensions Acts and Regulations.
• To assess and pay pensions to pensioners including children’s pension, commutations, gratuities and refunds of pension contributions
• To advise the Public Service Commission through the Head, Pay and Benefits Development and Management and Secretary on pension issues.
