Welcome to the inaugural edition of The Service Sentinel – the official digital magazine of the Zimbabwe Public Service Commission.
This quarterly publication serves to translate internal reports into transparent, accessible communication for the public. Its core purpose is to make sense of progress across the PSC’s key agencies that is, the Human Capital Development; Pay and Benefits Development and Management; Strategic Planning and Programme Management and Information Communications Technology – by clearly articulating achievements while candidly explaining why certain commitments may remain unmet. Such honest assessment of quarterly performance directly reflects the PSC’s vision of a professional, ethical and development-oriented Public Service, its mission to enable effective governance through strategic human capital management, and its foundational values of accountability, transparency and responsiveness.
The Service Sentinel thus stands as a vital bridge between institutional reporting and public accountability on Zimbabwe’s journey towards Vision 2030.
